Hopes and Dreams

Gave up my dream
Ended my aspirations
Rested all thoughts to what I could have been
All sense of trust disappear into thin air...
No I said to myself
I am capable
Unique and most of all, glad to be who I am

I hope you do not mind my adding some comments, coming to you from Concord, NH--from a MS Librarian who's also known as "Mrs. R" or Mrs. R-E.
I too am eagerly awaiting Stephanie Meyer's, "Eclipse" to get more of the romance between Bella and Edward. As Meyer's t-shirt slogan says, "Only a vampire can love you forever". I've never been a fan of typical vampire books, but the fact that Meyer's characters are so likeable, and the romance is not typical but full of unresolved tension, well enough said. Also our Edward and family is not the enemy and not as frightening because their drink of choice is not human but animal...but then again--what will Edward to about Bella? P.S. There are several soon to be freshmen here who also can't wait for this final book! And is the movie still in the works?

Grown up to be a lonely child
Embarrassed of her life
Radiant
Afraid
Not who she wants to be
Interesting
Useless
Mainly afraid of her father

Great fear
Endless tears
Rising hopes
Abused horribly
Noticing the truth
Important decisions
Unthinkable dreams
Many mistakes

Glisting in the sun
Elegant in the evening glow
Radient Beauty
Amazing petals
Never-ending existance
Irreplacable in my heart
Un-mistakable presence
Magical essence
Shares secrets with the world

I read Tiger, Tiger by Lynne Reid Banks. It is about Ceasar's duaght Aurelia and her pet tiger, Boots. Boot's twin , Brute, is sent to the circus when the two tiger cubs are caught in the jungle. When Aurleia turns 13 she is taken to the circus by her father as a present and it is Brute' s debut. Brute brutally kills all the men in the ring and starts to eat some of them. Aurelia never wnats to go back and leaves after Brute is gone. A few months later Aurelai goes to her cousin, Marcus' house and she takes boots with bOots escapes and his keeper is sent to fight Brute. You'll have to read the book to find out the ending.
